Alternate Names for TLR15 Antibody
- Toll like receptor 15
- Toll-like receptor 15
Background
Toll-like receptor 15 is an avian specific TLR which contains one archetypal TIR domain and transmembrane domains and a distinctive arrangement of extracellular leucine-rich regions. Toll-like receptors (TLRs) are a critical component of the PRR repertoire and are coupled to downstream production of cytokines, chemokines, and antimicrobial peptides by TLR adaptor proteins. It is reported that differences in the gene expression of TLR15 by heterophils likely accounts for some of the observed differences between the lines in their susceptibility to infection.
