| Application Notes |
WB: Approx. 150 kDa band observed in human placenta lysates (calculated MW of 131 kDa band according to NP_002363.2). In transfected HEK293 transiently expressing MAN2A1 a band of approx. 98 kDa is observed. This band is not observed in the non-transfected HEK293. An anonymous customer has reported positive results on human dermal fibroblasts.

Background
This gene encodes a protein which is a member of family 38 of the glycosyl hydrolases. The protein is located in the Golgi and catalyzes the final hydrolytic step in the asparagine-linked oligosaccharide (N-glycan) maturation pathway. Mutations in the mouse homolog of this gene have been shown to cause a systemic autoimmune disease similar to human systemic lupus erythematosus. [provided by RefSeq]
